I first considered retailing SmokePistols on my website www.hawgeyesbbq.com around 3 or 4 years ago. I was intrigued by their simplicity and affordability. First I wanted to do some hands on work with them to see how they functioned. I've been into competition bbq for around 10 years, and into selling bbq supplies for around 15 years (through our retail store). I must say that I am impressed with the way the SmokePistol® performs. I've always liked smoked cheese, and was searching for a way to "cold" smoke it on my own. I figured the insulation in a cooler was designed to hold in cool temps.

I simply attached the SmokePistol® to the outside of a standard igloo water cooler. With a couple trips to the local hardware store, it was all assembled. I put in two racks. The lower rack is used for an ice tray, the upper is used for the cheese. It works fantastic. I've gone so far as to make my own cheese, and am now turning out 3-4#s of smoked cheese on a weekly basis. Its not hard for me to recommend your product to my customers, when I'm using it on a weekly basis myself. You've come up with a fun product, thats versatile enough to adapt to just about any application with simple hardware. A friend of mine, Adam Perry Lang (A Chef in NYC and owner of Daisy May's BBQ USA) even featured the SmokePistol® in Rachael Rays magazine. The pistol is definitely smoking!
